{"id":1895,"date":"2022-09-29T10:36:13","date_gmt":"2022-09-29T09:36:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mouchao.pt\/product\/aguardente-bagaceira-6-anos\/"},"modified":"2024-01-29T15:03:42","modified_gmt":"2024-01-29T15:03:42","slug":"brandy-bagaceira-6-years","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/mouchao.pt\/en\/product\/brandy-bagaceira-6-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Brandy Bagaceira 6 Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MOUCH\u00c3O BRANDY BAGACEIRA 6 YEARS \u2013 TECHNICAL INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTILLATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Bagaceira<\/em>, or grape pomace brandy, has been produced at Mouch\u00e3o for over 100 years. \u00a0In 1929 the \u2018latest\u2019 wood-fired copper still was installed in the winery, and it continues to be used today.<\/p>\n<p>The low yielding manual, wooden presses, are essential for obtaining the best quality pomace, as the skins and pips are largely undamaged.\u00a0 Only the best and freshest Alicante Bouschet pomace is selected for distillation.<\/p>\n<p>Water vapour from the wood-fired boiler is forced through the pomace in the copper still, absorbing the alcohol residue in its path before it is condensed and collected in a barrel.
